Overall

The staff were all very sweet and friendly towards me. Dr. Hampton, however, was so rude. I went in to have a routine eye exam and I explained to him that the current brand of contacts I was using were making my eyes dry and I was needing to try a different brand. After the exam, he proceeds to write me a prescription for the same brand of contacts I had been using (the ones that dry out my eyes). When I asked him about this, he replied "Well, how am I supposed to know what will work with your eyes?" Excuse me? I then asked if he had any samples of other brands of contacts to try on so he takes me to the back and again is saying " Listen, I'm telling you everybody's eyes are different. I don't know which brand will work best with your eyes." I then replied "What would you suggest I do then, doc?" and I kid you not he gives me the same exact response "Well that's what I'm trying to tell you I don't know!!" At this point he's starting to raise his voice at me. I asked him about 3 or 4 times what he suggested I start off with (since he's the doctor and all, right?) and FINALLY he tells me that some people may be allergic to silicone contacts and that may be the reason why they keep drying out for me. He could have cut the b.s. and told me that in the first place? To top it all off, he tries to make small talk with me and asks what I do etc etc. I told him how I'm an engineering student and that I go to the University of Oklahoma. You know what he responds with? "Man, times have changed from when I was your age. All you women are taking over men's jobs these days." Geez. All I wanted were some stupid contacts.

Overall

The Dr. Is great and caring , his staff is incompetant and not caring at all . They all need to be replaced and learn how to deal with people .

The doctor , staff and office ...

The doctor , staff and office are nice but I ordered my glasses from them on 12/6 and was told it would take 5-8 days. Today is 01/01 and I still do not have my glasses. They told me they would be in this week but of course that is what they told me last week as well. I didn't order anything special or fancy just regular single vision glases. If it is going to take 4 weeks to get glasses they need to tell you that. If I had know it was going to take that long I would have went to one of the other two dozen places in the where you can get your glasses the same day.

Excellent experience and care!

I have only visited Dr. Hampton once but was extremely pleased with my appointment. He took plenty of time to complete many eye tests and was able to put me in a new pair of contacts immediately. I did not have any difficulties with the reception area. I believe that if you (customer) relate in a friendly manner and express your concerns in a friendly manner, the experience will show for itself. I would recommend Dr. Hampton to anyone!
