Overall
I went into this office 2 mont...

I went into this office 2 months ago to have my teeth checked and cleaned. A new dentist to their office, Dr. Takher proceeded to tell me that he needed to drill into the top three teeth on my left corner, they had deep decay. He drilled for 4.5 hours. It was awful. Next day, I was in a lot of pain, which I wasn't before. They told me to come in and have Dr. Fleischmann exam it. He filed one tooth down and said I should feel fine in an hour. BTW, I had told Dr. Takher that it felt like the bite was too high and he brushed me off. I went back the next day for the 3rd time of missing work and insisted to be seen by an Enndodontic specialist for root canals. I was finally referred to Endodontic Associates and was seen and advised that those teeth now needed root canals. The experience with Endodontic Associates was wonderful as far as professionalism, caring, and helping me. They have given me one root canal and I need another one, but because Dr. Takher and Woodland Smiles maxed out my double coverage insurance, I now have to wait for January for my insurance to replenish in pain.

Woodland Smiles' top dentist in their office (Dr. Gill) even said along with the office manager ( Shaun), and the nice other specialist said that it likely should have been root canals to begin with. Now I have filed a grievance with my insurance company to investigate and I am extremely confident they will have to refund the money to my insurance. They know they were wrong, LOTS of mistakes and passing the buck. They should have done the right thing and just given the money back to my insurance now so that I won't be in pain.

I noticed here that one of the reviews by Yannick R. states that he was offered the laser cleaning but declined due to cost. Funny, they didn't ask me, they just did the laser cleaning. Sure I wanted my teeth cleaned, but didn't know their were options. I feel like they didn't offer and they did so much work when they should have referred me to begin with, but they saw me with tons of coverage and took advantage. Additionally, Shaun the office manager assured me I would be able to get the other root canal because they weren't allowed to legally charge my insurance until a crown was seated. The crown wasn't seated because I was getting a root canal first. Yet, they did charge for the crown illegally before the crown was put in, which still isn't done due to all of the above. BTW, the crown that they talked me into was their "Guaranteed to last for 5 years or your money back crown made from the best materials." When Dr. Takher put one crown on another tooth (not the root canal one), the crown broke in half in my mouth. Dr. Takher said it wasn't the crown, but the person who made it. Then why is the person who made it working there where they made it? He personally made me a new one stating, "If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself."

Sorry to go on, but people need to know. I told Woodland Smiles that more then my concern for getting the funds back is to know that hopefully they won't do this to anyone else. When Dr. Takher examined my 12 year old boy, he advised that he immediately remove four of his baby molars, one was loose and would have been out soon. But he told me he had to do it now so I allowed him to because I trusted him before all of this happened. When he was extracting the teeth, my son held up his hand and was whimpering. He was a champ but had too much. Dr. Takher didn't stop, he kept trying to yank that last tooth out. His assistant told him to stop, just as I was leaping out of my chair. I tried to give Dr. Takher the benefit of a doubt, but that was a bad decision.

The Dental Board and Delta Dental will be investigating that as well to see if my son even needed the teeth pulled.

Be aware. Don't let the nice building and name fool you. And if you have a bad experience there, please post so others don't get hurt.
