We Offer 3 Board and Train Packages

Board and Train Foundation
Board and Train Foundation is for dogs 6 months or older who do not have formal training. In this package, we introduce the basic commands of sit, wait, down, stay, controlled leash walking and come.
Board and Train Advanced
Board and Train Advanced is for dogs who have received previous training whose owners desire a reliable, one command response to basic commands. Additional skills to be added by owner request include Place (door greeting), Heel and Bed (go lie down command).
Advanced Off Leash Control
Advanced Off Leash Control For dogs who have completed Advanced training whose owner seeks reliable off leash control – call for details.

Includes overnight care in one of our private suites
Includes four hours of group play (must meet screening requirements)
Basic and advance obedience skills will be taught in a positive, quality manner with focus on good manners for the home
Training available for basic and advanced obedience
Board and Train dogs need to meet vaccination screening requirements

Brush up Training

Brush Up Training sessions are an excellent add-on amenity for shorter boarding stays.
Sessions are 30 minutes in duration and are a GREAT compliment to both boarding and daycare visits. Select daily or every other day sessions to enhance your dog's stay with us and polish critical obedience skills.

Dog Training Classes

Our spacious 3000 square foot facility allows for a quality training experience with matted floors and state-of-the-art training equipment.
We offer Obedience, Agility, Canine Good Citizen and Therapy Dog Classes.
Class size is limited to ensure that learning is optimized.
Our friendly instructors are highly experienced and enjoy working with people and their dogs.
At Augusta we welcome family participation and strive to make make training a fun and positive experience for all.

Puppy Kindergarten

Developing Self-Regulating behavior, healthy coping skills & creating a learn to learn attitude
Common topics such as housebreaking, crate training, nipping, jumping
Introduction of early obedience commands & life skills
Confidence building through puppy appropriate Agility training.
Puppy socialization in a supervised setting.
Puppies are segregated by size with active owner involvement.

Ages 5 months to 7 months of age
For puppies who have either completed a Puppy Kindergarten course or who are new to obedience classes
Good manners and basic obedience skills are taught in an age appropriate, positive manner
Introduction to basic commands include sit, down stay, wait, come and leash walking
Ongoing socialization with other puppies
Confidence building activities that include safe introduction of Agility equipment.

Family Dog 1 - Basic Obedience

Dogs over 8 months of age or older puppies who have completed Puppy Kindergarten and Puppy Basic
Skills taught include controlled leash walking, sit, down, wait at doorways, come when called, introduction of Go to Mat
Commands are taught in a fun, pet friendly manner & gently enforced to ensure reliable performance
Additional skills taught at the Instructor's discretion

Family Dog 2 - Intermediate Obedience

Prerequisite Family Dog 1
Emphasis on reliable performance with one command response
Introduction to Off-Leash work
Preparation Class for Canine Good Citizen Certification and Therapy Dog Certification

Intro to Agility

Prerequisite Family Dog 1
Introduction to Agility Class introduces dogs and owners to the Action-Packed sport of Agility dog training.
You and your dog will have fun and build teamwork by learning to navigate tunnels, tires, jumps and A -Frames.
Extra emphasis is placed on learning how to navigate the obstacles safely & equipment height is adjusted for beginners
We also teach training games to build motivation and teamwork!
