El Alteno Authentic Mexican Food

The food is very pricy and flavorless.
And they charge 20% for "Automatic Gratuity" (tips) which they do not deserve.
I do not recommend eating at this restaurant.

After sub-par service (server never brought me a glass of water though I requested one twice; empty water glasses stayed that way; etc.), I was presented with a $199 bill, which included an obligatory tip of over $28 that was undeserved.

I asked why the prices did not match the menu. The server told me she forgot to tell me that the prices went up 3 months ago and that now I'll know for next time. No...there will be no next time! Is this even legal?

I asked what the $4 Misc. charge was for. She said it was for the second round of chips. Sorry, but other restaurants have set the bar for this and do not charge for chips. If you are going to do so, simply say so!

To use the restroom, diners must get a key. Well, the key that goes to the bathrooms is not a sanitary item, so the server should not be touching it and our food. She actually kept it in her apron. Yuk!

I rarely come away unhappy from a restaurant experience, but I sure did in this case.
