I am posting this for a friend that had a horrible experience with this company. He ended up having to go to arbitration with the BBB to recover his money that he had payed them upfront for materials and as a condition of the BBB rules, he had to remove his review. The company ended up having no insurance and my friends homeowners insurance had to take care of him but he was stuck with the deductible. My friend was displaced from his home for the better part of a year as it had to be gutted completely and rebuilt to repair the damage caused by this company. I saved a copy of his original posting before he removed it. It is as follows:

Do not use this company for any roofing or remodeling, as you will regret it! They are operating with no insurance. They are also crooked in their business dealings.
I hired them to replace the roof on my home and they requested that I pay half up front for the materials. I wrote them a check for $3250 for materials which they cashed the same day. They were supposed to notify me when they were going to start on my roof, which they did not do. I came home in the afternoon on Friday, June 23rd to find my roof torn off and uncovered. I attempted to get in touch with Joe Olvera Jr. via phone and text but never got a reply to either after leaving messages to call me about the roof and the forecast for heavy storms the next day. At 5 AM the next morning, a crew from America Roofing showed up to attempt to cover the roof as the storm was approaching but it was too little too late. The storm hit hard around 5:20AM dumping several inches of rain in a short period of time flooding the house. There was water running down the walls and coming thru the ceiling in every room causing major damage to the home. The ceiling in the Mater Bedroom collapsed onto someone causing injury when the insulation got so saturated and heavy with water.
When the roofing company owner Joe Olvera Sr. and Joe Olvera Jr. finally came to view the damage, I asked them for their insurance information and told them we need to immediately get in touch with them and get a claim started. They said there was no need to involve insurance as I only had minor damage to the home and they would patch up the bedroom. I asked their foreman Ira Dale Tucker about all my wet and damaged goods and he said they could take the stuff out of the Master Bedroom and put it under my outdoor carport and put tarps around it.This was not acceptable, as the entire house had water damage and was still wet. I asked for their insurance information several times but they would not give it to me. Ira Dale Tucker said he talked to Joe Jr. about filing a claim and he said he had done so already. Joe would not give me any information on their insurance or the claim he said he filed.
After getting the run around from America Roofing, I contacted my homeowners insurance who instructed me to contact a restoration company which I did. They dispatched a project manager out to inspect the damage. After his inspection, he said the home needed to be emptied of all it's contents and all wet sheet rock and insulation needed to be removed as soon as possible. The restoration company sent a crew to pack up all my salvageable belongings and put them in climate controlled storage. I also had to find somewhere else to live while the home is being torn apart and repaired.
America Roofing never delivered the materials I paid for up front for the roof and they refuse to return my $3250. The restoration company had to buy materials to put a complete new roof on along with replace decking that was damaged from being soaked from the storm. I have had to hire an attorney to help me with this situation. He is being told thru their attorney that they did not have any insurance.
They are a horrible and dishonest company with lying owners!

Back in July of 2015 my husband and I hired this company to do our roof and the siding on our house. The owner was the person we talked to and met with. He would make an appointment with us and then not follow through with the meeting or he would be several hours late to the agreed upon time. He made excuse after excuse about why he wasn't there.



We finally got a day set up to do the roof with the promise the they would start on the siding after that. The roof was completed in a timely manner and with satisfaction, However, I understood that to be the next or even the next week. That did not happen. He again made promise after promise that his guys would be there the next week, the next Monday, the end of the week. On and on it went for SEVERAL weeks. I finally gave him the ultimatum, that he was to be at my house the next day or I was calling the BBB for services not rendered!



We agreed upon a day. I asked him to call me so that I would know that they were at my house, I was at work. His crew showed up at my house on the next agreed upon day. I went home to check on the progress only to find that they were NOT at my house as agreed. His crew had shown up and decided that they were not at the correct house and so they left. I called America Roofing and asked why they were not at my house. He lied to me again only to say that they showed up at my house and his crew did not see their sign in my yard so they did not begin work.(I had taken the free advertisement sign out of my yard when they did not show up the 3rd time he told me he would be there! I found out later that they had called my husband and did not get him due to bad cell phone reception. (hence why I asked him to call me!)



So I the conversation I had with him was not a pleasant one. He told me that he would be at my house later that afternoon to talk to me and my husband. I told him not to to bother. I wanted him at my house RIGHT THEN! The conversation when in this circle until he finally hung up on me. My husband called him back later that afternoon. He said he would be there at a particular time and then by no shock to me he was not. We called him back at the time he said he would be there, He told us that he was leaving Temple right then and he was on his way. (I live in Hillsboro, he was an hour and half from my house! Which meant he would not be at my house to close to 9pm!) My husband told him not to bother.



To make matters worse he had my insurance money so we had to meet him at his office at a later day to get back our money! Lets just say that did not go well either!



I will never recommend this company to anyone for any reason!
