El Ranchero Mexican Food

A few weeks ago my girl friend and I were driving around Vista and as luck would have it we decided to pull into El Ranchero. Well, needless to say we have been back and we brought 7 or our closest friends along to enjoy the hands-down-best-mexican-food this side of the border (and better than many on the other side, by the way). From the moment we were greeted by the owner at the door, the the time we sadly left, we had a dining experience which was nothing short of pleasant and full of laughter, excellent tasting food and margaritas that you just have to taste to believe (I personally recommend the Tamarindo Margarita on the rocks...yumm). My giral and I are looking forward to many happy returns.

Great food, excellent service, very friendly staff!!! Literally just left and writing this review in the car. That's how much I just enjoyed my experience at El Ranchero!!

Horrible customer service. They were so busy talking to there friends in one of the tables, they totally forgot about the real customers. For example my chips and soda were gone half way thru my meal and they never asked me if I needed more. I guess you expect better service when your being over price for avarage Mexican food

El Ranchero on No. Santa Fe offers friendly service. Narcizo, the owner and host, is very friendly and welcoming. They are very willing to accommadate special requests and substitutions. If you run out of chips or carrots they are promptly refilled as are the sodas. The food is very good. The carne asada uses good beef, and is well maranaded-very flavorful. The carnitas are lean, and quite tasty. Beans, the basis of mexican food, are well made and delicious. The Spanish rice is also nicely prepared. The place is clean and cheerful. Outdoor dining is available. My family and I go there fairly often, and have never been disappointed. When I have taken friends there they have been well pleased. I recommend Narczo's El Ranchero without reservation.

The food is FANTASTIC and the service is superb! Love the fact that they are vegetarian-friendly! BEST MEXICAN FOOD RESTAURANT EVER!!!

This is a great little place to eat. The food is wonderful, good portion sizes. The owner is also a server and makes all his guests feel so very welcome. We take the family there whenever we can.
