        Don Westhaver has been working on cars for over 40 years and was shop foreman for the Mercedes-Benz, Porsche dealer in Vallejo for 15 years. He was the recipient of the rare and coveted Star Technician award from the Mercedes-Benz factory. Don also has a great deal of Porsche factory training and has the Audi/VW Quality Control award as well. When that dealership closed, Don decided to go out on his own in 1990, and in 1996 Star Tech European was in business in Vallejo.We moved to rural Vacaville in 2000 and it began to make more sense to move our business to Vacaville. In January, 2007 we opened for business at our current location in Vacaville at 23 Union Way on the corner of Union Way and Leisure Town Road. We have been busy ever since with very little advertising and are quite pleased that we made the move.The auto repair business doesnt have the best reputation, so we go the extra mile to build trust. That includes taking extra time to really explain what your car needs and why. Our goal is to give professional, friendly, honest service without the stress and hassle of going to the dealer. We will never sell you something you dont need.

        Star Tech European has Honest People doing honest work!

        Took my car to Mercedes Benz of Fairfield, because the service engine soon light came on. This was after I had taken to our local service station garage. The local garage said it was the airpump but to take it to Mercedes Benz to check the codes out. Then comes the good part. After leaving the car at Mercedes Benz FF for 3 days they came up with a whole new "problem". They said it had a " burnt valve". Total price to fix $9,200.00 Looked on Yelp for European garages just to show them what Mercedes Benz of FF diagnosed. They were amazed. Thats where Star Tech European comes in. These people are WONDERFUL, They had my car for 7 days because they wanted to check, double, triple check their findings. They had never seen a "burnt valve" since the 1980"s cars. Mine is a 2006 E350. Star Tech European's owner and mechanic worked at a Mercedes Benz dealership for over 15 years. Before he opened his own shop. On his office wall he has the honor of a prestigious award that states he was a Star Tecnician by Mercedes Benz. Very few receive this honor. HE KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING when it comes to repairing these cars. I cannot say enough about these peple. Family owned and operated and know what customer service means. Which I can't say for a lot of businesses these days. Bottom line... Total repair cost $1,230.88. A far cry from Mercedes Benz of FF. Still amazed. Waiting to hear from Mercedes Benz of FF to hear what they have to say about their service estimate. My next yelp review will be to them and it will not be favorable!!!!
