Barnabas Behavioral Health Center

I spent 4 months at this facility hoping for help. Unfortunately this program is not helpful at all. First off, in order to be considered an IOP, you have to go a minimum of 9 hours but this program is 7 hours. The counsellors start groups late and end them early which leaves you little time to get the help you need. There is no set schedule to see your counselor or the nurse practitioner either. You must request time with either and that's not easy to get considering they are over populated to begin with. If you are looking for compassion and understanding, look elsewhere. I've watched others including myself go through a crisis and be ignored by counselor after counselor. My own counselor walked right past me and didn't even acknowledge my existence. I should not have left that day in the shape I was in but not a care in the world was given even after I let the program director know I was having difficulty and could barely breathe. find another caring facility like genpsych in brick!

This hospital is NOOOOOOOOOOO good my sister been there a lot this last time she went to hospital and was sent there again was there 7 days and said she was ready to come home oh bull I knew she wasn't and no she wasn't at all so now me and my sister is trying to take care of her but I think she will end up back in hospital im so mad at them I know that place no good I have had dealing with them in the pass but the thing is when they go to the hospital most time they send them there one time I ask can you place send her to another hospital I oh well them didn't also when she was moved from that hosp to here they never called us I had to call the pay phone and ask for her and she was there place no good drs staff theres just there for there pay check

The psychiatrist and nurse practitioners are awful. The social worker flat out lied about my daughter regarding a medication. My daughter was getting more depressed and anxious being in this facility. After my daughter was discharged, she decided to try the outpatient program. The NP that she was assigned to was very unprofessional and making ridiculous comments to her. I left a message with the supervisor of the program who did not even have the decency to return my call. Needless to say, my daughter refused to go back there. I would not recommend this facility to anyone.

Don't let anyone go to this hospital! The only thing I was satisfied with is the way the social worker did her job, but not all of them are good there. Kaitlyn D was excellent she let us know progress made and what exactly was going on at this hospital. The doctor there was not good with the family members and did not contact us once! There were 5-6 medication changes in 3 weeks! That is not legal from a doctors point of view...so please AVOID THIS HOSPITAL
