The Gates of Oakwood

I've lived there since October of 2012, I'd say the first month was great, after that, he went downhill from there. first it was my water heater that they neglected to check until may of 2013, then it was my a/c, that took about 3-4 times to fix, but my husband ended up actually stopping the leak, by the time those were fixed it was too late, the carpet and flooring were already ruined.... I am currently having issues with the plumbing, I think its unfair that my area at the complex gets treated badly, the only reason anyone has gotten on their behinds is because I've taken legal routes. I do NOT suggest this place to anyone, I have never in my life see, or heard of anything like this before, my entire stay here I have been fighting just to live comfortably, I have a three year old, and a very bad mold problem that STILL HAS NOT BEEN LOOKED AT! luckily theres a lot of lawyers in my family, I will not go quietly. :)

Today I went n,view the complex it was nice the management was nice....maintenance men was nice so far its my first time I wud be moving there Im going to like et..

The place needs a lot of work and the manager in the office is young, no experience and has no clue. the office is closed a lot to. the manager has a name tattood across her chest that looks ghetto and unprofessional. One of the neighbors told me that the only reason she gots the job is cause her aunt connie is the area supervisor. apparently thats supposed to be a secret but we all knows. do yourself a favor and go somewheres else.

I have lived here since they opened in 2008 and I love it here. The office staff is wonderful VERY friendly makes you feel like that are glad to see you. Carl is wonderful he is always very busy but makes time to get to everyone as quick as possible. They all are very ready to help you with anything you may need. They keep the complex looking nice and clean there has been many of times that the office staff will be out cleaning up and makeing sure that everything is nice and neat .I would tell all my friends and family to move here and anyone reading this that does not live here yet should check them out.

I lived there for approximently 3 months.I hated it!! First, and foremost its called Gates of Oakwood and there are no gates?? The maintenance crew is nice. The property manager nice. Far as living there not good.I had an Ac problem.It leaked all over my carpet . The manager sent someone to fix it . The problem kept continuing.Finally on the third try my ac was properly repaired. The maintenance man never suctioned (wet vacummed) my carpet. I was pregnant at the time The smell was unbearable!! Also my refrigerator leaked water and I fell !! Again the maintenance man fixed the problem. Unfortunantly, he couldn't fix the toilet that kept overflowing.He couldn't fix the clogged drain in my tub .So therefore water would be about six inches high while taking a shower!! I worked long hours.It was sad that I couldn't come home and potty.Sad that I couldn't relax and take a shower .Even worse they never spelled my name correctly on the monthly newsletters that they would send out.I went to the office twice and asked if they would correct my last name. Sure no problem .I EVEN wrote my name on a piece of paper!!My whole stay there.They never cared enough to fix it. I had a small bug problem.That was the ONLY thing that was fixed quickly and the roaches never came back. They never showed me how to open the pool gate.I believe I needed a code. I was only able to communicate through notes that I would drop off to the office because I arrived home after office hours.They released me from my lease. :) :) : ) THANK GOD!!!! The worst news.....,over a year later I still have not yet received my 300.00 deposit back. Reason being my last name on my check was spelled incorrect.I went inside the office and gave them my new address.My check was never sent !!!!!!!!! I have called multiple times.I have moved twice since then.I am still waiting for my check! I have spoke with the manager.She told me to call her and she would mail off my check THE PROBLEM Is the number I have is now changed and I'm screwed until I find time to go over there and collect what is rightfully mine.
