Overall

My child has Autism and I was recommended to take her to DFCC for Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech and Language Pathology. I must say the staff there was great. Everyone was friendly and my daughter really had a great experience. We have been there for 2 visits so far but I believe this is the best choice I have ever made for my child. Since starting therapy she has really been improving. I would HIGHLY recommend DFCC for anyone that has a child that needs assistance.

Needless to say, this center IS NOT about helping with your families needs, but instead they are ONLY about making money!! They could care less about anything but that! I had a parental alienation case and was told that the fee for a day in court was $2400. When court came around, the fee magically went up to $5000 for ONE day. And on top of that, Anthony the owner and mine and my kids counselor screwed up my case by not remembering any of the case and after court he dismissed himself as our counselor due to the kids talking to their mother about what went on in the counseling sessions! Anthony said that this "tainted" his relationship with my kids and he withdrew as the counselor! That in itself proved the alienation! He is only worried about his reputation and how much money he makes and could care less about you or your families needs! DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY, PERIOD!!!

My daughter was referred to DFCC after her treatment at Parkwood. We were looking forward to this stage of treatment because it helped gauge the progress of my daughter’s treatment and was helping my family get back to a half way normal lifestyle. After spending over a month and half with Parkwood and several hours on the phone with my insurance company, I had a pretty good of idea of my benefits and the amount of my out of pocket expenses. With that being said we have determined that the first visit should cost around $15.00. After our first initial visit (parents only), I proceeded to pay for the visit and the lady told me $70.00. I explained to her that my insurance said it should not cot more than $15 and that my family was already struggling with the mounting medical bills and really could not afford more than what the insurance told us. That’s when the TROLL (lady that sets off to the left facing the outside window) told me “Yeah…KIDS ARE Expensive” and they needed at least $60.00. My wife was already close to tears and I was getting really mad, so we paid the $60.00. The following week was my daughters first appointment, so I wanted in line and listened to the way they interacted with other clients, thinking maybe it was just me or a bad day. NOPE, they talk to almost everyone the same way and it appeared they like to charge people $28.00 to everyone, unless they know they can charge you more. After two other people, I finally make it up to the window and the lady that normally sets in front of the service window was there, (now the TROLL was over in her corner). The lady in front of the service window glanced up for a second and said $28.00, again I questioned it but did not make a scene because the daughter was with me for her first appointment. By this time, I’m getting a little upset. But I’m still keeping my cool. I’m guessing they finally got their billing issue straight because they are working on the credit balance they have on the first two visits. But there are more issues, they knew during the first meeting my daughter was on medication but failed to ever set up some kind of treatment plan to maintain her meds, so when I called them they told me that it was our responsibility to inform them of what we need. I’m guessing they do not have any kind of treatment plan or once you’re a client they do not discuss anything with the parents. After 4 or 5 visits we have yet to hear anything from her therapist. Needless to say, I will be looking for somewhere else that makes you feel they are there to help. I going to say beware of the lack of service, the $28.00 gatekeeper and the TROLL. BY THE WAY NO STARS WOULD BE SUITING BUT THEY MAKE ME LEAVE AT LEAST ONE.
