Cielito Lindo Restaurant

Awesome lunch buffet. They have beans, rice, chile verde, and chile colorado every day. They rotate between tamales, taquitos, flautas, and chimichangas. The soup is caldo de pollo or menudo. Taco bar every day with pollo or asada mon-Thurs and fish tacos on Fridays. Good salad bar, fruits, and desserts.

I called the manager to ask if they can accommodate a large group for after a funeral service. Pedro asked us to come in and look at the place and try the food. We loved everything. The place, the food, the price, and the hospitality. We had 150 people go and it turned out perfect. These things are never planned and we didn't want to have everyone at our home but Cielito Lindo took care of everything. Thank you Pedro, I will consider your place in this type of situation again. The food was excellent.

Loved it! Read the reviews online and My family and I were honestly scared to take my mom for her birthday but it was the nicest experience!! The mariachi even sang happy birthday to her and the waiters were very sweet! Loved the environment and will definitely go back for more celebrations!

Grew up going here my whole life. Some of the finest Mexican food you can get in So Cal and a truly amazing show of talented musicians. Even if you a Huero' like me and don't know much of the mostly Spanish songs performed its still a exciting show with impressive singers. Anything on the menu is delicious. Jose and Chuey Hernandez are not only musical icons, but a family legacy in the restaurant world and Mariachi music. World famous Mariachi Sol De Mexico performs here and should be experienced by all.

And I was very disappointed because when I make the reservation no one informed that Mariachi Sol De Mexico was not going to play.
And let me tell you that was the only reason to go to Cielito Lindo

First time coming here, and it was amazing. Their brunch was amazing. Fall off the bone ribs, perfectly thickened broth soup, pulled pork, and a manned taco stand. While the restaurant seemed to be undermanned, the service was relatively expedient, the waiter checked up on our table quite frequently.

The best Mexican lunch buffet that I've ever been to. Everything I tasted was very good, from the enchiladas, to the carnitas, to the chile verde. Everything looked and tasted fresh, and the baked fish was delicious. The staff were also nice, and were attentive. I usually only like more expensive buffets ($30+,) but this place was good and reasonably priced. I will return.

You're immediately greeted at the door. The ambiance was very romantic... haha... house light's were dimmed, candles on tables, that sort of thing.

Came for the seafood buffet and the adorable and impressive mariachi kids! We got sat right away (we got our own table but it seems to be set up family style) but then no one helped us to take drink order, bring water, or let us know what to do next. But we did get chips and salsa as soon as we sat down so I was at least occupied. I first got a margarita,ummmm. meh, it tasted watered down and not enough flavor. Then I got a Paloma, much better, I'd stick with those. The food was good and fresh but I wish they had labels on the food and more options with no cheese ( i know its mexican but still, I was limited). I would come back, though kinda pricey, almost $80 for 2 people, more of a fun date place then a casual dinner with friends.

We took my mother-in-law there with a small group and had an absolutely wonderful time. The food was good the service was excellent and the waiters were very attentive. I have never been a big fan of mariachi music but I was amazed at how outstanding the music was. We had a delightful time and I would definitely come back!

Their buffet spread include salad bar, standard Mexican dishes (like taquitos, rice, beans, chicken), a taco bar, and dessert. Fridays are popular because it's usually fish taco Fridays. I was delighted to see that they hand make the corn tortillas for the tacos right as you order the tacos and that it did not come pre-made from a bag. The fish was freshly fried and had the right amount of batter to fish. I spent most of my time getting refills of fish tacos. The line can get long when there's a crowd -- you just got to time it right. I skipped the salad portion of the buffet, got some of the standard dishes, mainly got more and more fish tacos, and squeezed in room for flan (and skipped the fruit). I was so full by the end of the meal! They have limited parking spaces in the front, but there's plenty more if you head towards the side and back. The lunch buffet is great for small and large groups (we rolled in 10 people deep that day).

My girlfriend enjoys mariachi music, so decided to take her to Cielito Lindo. I give it a four star overall because I really like the place. Personally I think they can improve on their service and/or food, we ordered the Cielito fajita medium-rare and we got dry steak besides the portion was small for the price. Also on all four dirty martinis we ordered they served it with too much olive juice which they were too salty. The mariachi del sol was not there but they had an all girl mariachi band ( sorry for not remembering their band name but I believe is mariachi de reina). They were great, love hearing mariachi music and their performance blows away the negative experience.

I've come here a few time and have always had a good experience. Food is great and they have shows. Came here yesterday and they had an all girl mariachi band, thought that was cool. I would for sure come back

History: This restaurant has been around for 30 years. My dad use to come to Cielto Lindo in El Monte for years before he went to be with the Lord. Coming here reminded me of dad in so many ways. Today's dinner was for dad. Amazing Mexican food and authentic! Taste like your grandma's cooked food.Came in @ around 6pm. Sit where you like. One lady was waiting on multiple tables and she did it. Why such the low reviews? This is super tasty and good. Made fresh & comes with chips and salsa. I got the combinations plate: one crunchy shredded beef taco and one chicken red enchilada. Boyfriend got same thing but opposite, one crunchy chicken taco and one rojo shredded beef enchilada & Meatball soup. Would recommend this place to anyone!!!! Totally worth it.

Good food, great music and the staff very attentive. Sometimes they have an all female mariachi who play awesome.

I always go for the buffet and the food is really good authentic mexican food. The price is reasonable and the service when I go has been great.
