Gwinnett Dermatology

When I arrived at the Dermatology the staff was so friendly and engaging. The atmosphere was great. When I booked the appointment I was told to come at least 20minutes before my appointment for paper work when I walked into the office, the waiting room was extremely full. Which I suppose is a good indicator for an office. I had to wait for an extra 5 minutes to actually see my doctor, however she profusely. And explained the delay and she had me in and out her office in 15 minutes.

As far as care, I'm a college student so I expressed my budget and they put together a regimen that was pretty inexpensive, especially for topicals. An they send my prescription to want pharmacy right away!

Over all I had a good experience and I would definitely come again. Dr Brown was an amazing doctor who was very insightful genuine to her patients. I did t feel like another co-pay as I do with many doctors.

I visited Dr. Shavin once...got a referral from my PCP...i really liked the Dr. ... the staff was awesome! Will definitely be my new dermatologist...I was happily surprised that the waiting area was filled with ads for facial fillers like botox and restalin...very professional atmosphere....and Dr. Shavin is a Beatles fan...have to give him props for the Beatles art in the exam rooms! =)

Maybe the doctors are good, I wouldn't know. We never got past the office staff. We arrived 3 minutes late for an appointment and were told because we hadn't filled out the paperwork online beforehand we would have to reschedule. They don't seem to realize that we have a choice of health care providers. We will be choosing someone else.

My family of four have all used this practice more than once. My 18 year old daughter had a normal looking mole removed from her back. I discussed with the assistant that she had had it for years, it had never changed shape or color and that the need for a biopsied was unnecessary. Well much to my dismay I got a bill for $ 114.72 for a biopsy that came back negative !

I talked to the office manager who was very rude and told me I must have been mistaken in what I had heard. She informed me I had told them to send it for a biopsy. I asked for at least a small discount on the bill and was denied. The whole situation was infuriating. I will never use them again.

Despite the negative reviews I decided to try this office. My first consultation appointment I waited 30 minutes to be seen by the dermatologist. The dermatologists seem nice and I was impressed with the staff. I made a second appointment to begin the treatment. I was contacted by the staff and asked to reschedule the second and third appointments due to an office conflict. Finally the day arrives and I arrive for my appointment to begin treatment. However, no such luck. I was informed that because I was 15 minutes late, I would have to reschedule. No one, cared why I was late. Forget customer service, you’re not getting it here!

stay away!!! The doctors are skin butchers.
