I highly recommend renting storage units and U-haul trucks from Total Rental Center/Total Self Storage. In fact, I moved 150 miles away and still keep my belongings there. I have been renting storage units and U-haul trucks from them for at least 12 years, probably even 15 years. I have never wanted to switch to another facility because I have never had any problems. If I could use three words to describe my experience, it would be: consistent, trustworthy, respected. I have come in person to pay my storage unit rent on "off days" because of personal issues and have always been treated with respect regardless of my attitude. Of course you can get set up on auto-pay online which is more convenient. The units are clean, have concrete floors, and the grounds are well lit at night. I have always felt safe on site. It is nice to have 24 access to your unit. Police patrol through the area at night. Don't worry about precipitation causing any damage in your unit, because I have had several different locations on site and have never experienced any water damage or flooding. This storage facility IS NOT built on a valley where flooding could occur. The staff is friendly and helpful. No one has EVER been rude to me. I can personally testify that being a valued customer has been acknowledged by the staff. As for the inside of the store being torn apart, , don't be discouraged. They are going through remodeling as of this writing, Oct 24, 2011. If I ever decide to move my items I keep there to the new town I live in, I will feel disloyal because I have done business there for so long!! Bottom line, rent from here - you won't be dissapointed.

Save yourself time, effort, and hassle. This is one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. If there's another rental place down the road that has what you need....go to it...even if it costs a few dollars more.
