All of our technicians are knowledgable and licensed by the Structural Pest Control Board and are trained in Integrated Pest Management (IPM). IPM allows us to look at a problem and determine the best way to solve it while using the least amount of the safest chemicals available. Insects and Spiders

Ants
Ants generally live underground in large colonies. There can be many colonies on one property. Instead of using barrier products to repel them away from the house, our treatments are designed to eliminate the underground colonies. This provides longer lasting control for ants.
Spiders
Spiders are beneficial and provide year around pest control. However, when allowed to nest on the exterior of your home, they can leave unsightly webs and even get inside. Our treatments remove the webs and apply long lasting products in key areas that are designed to repel them.
Termites
On our full inspections we look for dry wood and subterranean termites, dry rot, and any conditions that could lead to problems.
Bed Bugs
Fleas
Fleas are parasites that live on the blood of any warm blooded animal. Female Fleas can lay up to 500 eggs in their short lifetime which can quickly infest your home if left untreated.
Cockroaches
Cockroaches can measure over 2 inches in length and are commonly found outdoors all over Southern California. They are important recyclers of decaying waste. When conditions become unfavorable, Cockroaches are known to come indoors seeking more temperate climates as well as sources of water and food for their offspring.
Silverfish
Silverfish are wingless, flattened, fish-shaped insects. They are white to brown-gray or bluish-silver in color. They usually measure less than 1.5 inches. They have long antennae and three threadlike appendages on the rear of the abdomen. They have chewing mouthparts and develop without visible change in appearance.

Wasps
Wasp Nests are usually found around the home underneath eaves, in or on structures and plants. Nests are built from wood fiber and occasionally plant matter. The nests usually resemble several hexagonal shapes and are attached by a single stem. Wasps attack when the nest is disturbed and each can sting repeatedly. Wasp stings typically cause localized pain and swelling. In severe cases, multiple stings can result in allergic reactions including death.

Can sting or bite. The most common wasps in the Santa Barbara area are the paper wasp and yellow jackets. We treat wasps with eco-friendly products and remove their nests. Great care must be taken when removing wasps to avoid being stung.

Rodents
The best way to keep rodents out of your home is through exclusion (preventing the rodent from entering the home). Our trained Rodent Inspectors know how the rodents get in. The inspectors will search the property for all possible entry points including the roof, we will then disclose our findings in a report for the you to review. Lenz Pest Control will also give you an price estimate on performing the exclusion. By eliminating any openings on your property, we can prevent infestation for years to come. Our experienced exclusion team can solve almost every problem that we find. If you already have rodents in your home, we can do trapping to eliminate them but we recommend exclusion first, and then trapping to eliminate current rodent visitors caught inside during the exclusion process.
