Vermont Cleaners

I wish I could love it as much as the positive reviews and I was really excited to find a good dry cleaner so nearby (though up a hill!). Unfortunately, they damaged a $500 coat that I had -- the lining was torn in multiple places. It was a coat that was pretty new with very little wear and tear because I just haven't worn it that much (SF winters...shrug). I'm afraid to take anything to them now. Asked about it in person and they angrily said it's wear and tear and that I could take it to an evaluator if I wanted. Dude, I don't make a living from dry cleaning fraud... And frankly, the coat is not replaceable in sentimental value so I was just looking for an apology and some suggestions on how to repair it. Now I am trying to google / tweet at the original maker to get tips on how to fix :( Scared to go inspect the small jacket and evening dress I also sent into them now...
