In August , 2012, we hired Maurer Construction, Inc., to remodel the master bathroom in our 1970’s Point Loma home. The father and son contractors, Bill, Jr. and Bill , Sr., gutted everything down to the studs in the walls and the plywood subflooring before transforming the room. We couldn’t be happier with the finished product. Their design and building expertise was superior. We understand they have extensive experience with commercial and residential remodels as well as luxury yachts. Their experience and pride in workmanship was evident in their attention to every detail in our new bathroom, from the exactness of measurements to the preparation of the floors, walls and shower foundation. Their subcontractors also did quality work and were constantly supervised by Bill, Jr. or his father. We have built two homes with different contractors, and worked with numerous contractors on remodels, but we have never been more pleased with the quality, timeliness or professionalism of the work. As a bonus for us, the worksite was cleaned up daily with a minimum of household disruption. We were kept informed every step of the way and in the end we feel that we’ve made new friends in the Maurers. They are definitely our contractors of choice for future work and we hope their business thrives. Bob and Laura H.
