Bob Nichols Floor Covering

Stay away! This company is unethical and unprofessional. We had them come in and install new floors on the second floor and our stairs. They were complete but there were many things my husband and I were not happy about. I reached out to Rob to discuss my disappointment when I saw our floors. We were so excited to hear that they were done and ready for us, but when I came home I was greeted with chips on each riser of the stairs, a sloppy paint job that covered the walls we had just painted, and blue tape that was left stuck between the wall and the baseboard. There were gaps in the caulking, a subfloor that should have been leveled, and to top it all off, the floors were presented to us dusty and dirty. Much to my dismay, I was even more disappointed when I spoke to my husband and he told me what Rob had to say about all of our concerns; mainly his response to the subflooring and the stairs. Rob stated that's just how it is. Which is simply untrue and unacceptable. I would like to mention that I am surprised that this is the product that he would stand behind and defend. Rob sold us on his quality workmanship but the inadequate attention to detail was very concerning.THIS MIGHT BE THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THIS REVIEW:After sending my concerns to Rob in an email, he did not respond to me. He never acknowledged my concerns but texted my husband that the demo team would be up to rip up the parts that were unsatisfactory. When I got home, the whole upstairs were demoed but the stairs that they glued down were left, however, he ripped off the nosing. He then texted my husband the next day saying they would not be back...UNPROFESSIONAL, UNETHICAL, and SHOCKINGLY POOR COMMUNICATION SKILLS. He did not tell us he was quitting until he already came into our home and ripped everything out! Now we are left with an expense that we never should have incurred because they left the stairs glued down and now we have to pay for the stairs to be salvaged and re-sanded. This is incredibly labor intensive and costly depending on how the glue affects the stairs.Save yourself the trouble and stay far away from this company!
