Back in Time Clock Repair

My experience with clock repair was colored by my experience with a  so called clock repairman some 25 years previously.  As a result, I was kind of skeptical when a neighbor contacted Back in Time Clock Repair. But I had just moved across the country and I needed to have my clock serviced to get it back in good working condition.  Patrick came to my home and looked at the clock and right away I could tell that he was very knowledgeable  about Grandfather Clocks.  He dove right in and repaired  the Grandfather Clock and replaced some little things that I was not expecting him to do.  There was a problem with the clock and he made two more trips. When I tried to pay him additional money, he refused.  It was more important to Pat that I be satisfied. The clock is up and running and keeping good time!

My Grandfather Clock was in storage for over 20 years and an antique as well. I came to the right place. Let me tell you why.

1 - On site service A simple operation, I thought to open a box and put it together. It turned out we found every part, large and small, in four different boxes.

2 - Well knowledged & well supplied. Pat soon told me more about the clock than what I knew, when and how well it was serviced. He came with lubricants specific to antique as well as for modern clocks.

3 - Attention to detail The clock was set up and tested at two or three stages. He made final adjustments where necessary, leveling the clock for the pendulum to move freely and in proper alignment and testing the beats against a meter to fine tolerance.

I could not have made a better decision.

My Howard Miller wall clock had a broken spring. I needed it repaired within a month, but the first place I took it to said it would take 10 weeks to repair and cost $200. I called Back in Time and was able to take it in the next day. It was repaired WHILE I WAITED, for a fraction of the other estimate. The education I got on clocks was an unexpected bonus. I cannot recommend this repair facility high enough.

Patrick is a clock angel! He transformed my 45-year-old grandfather clock that had been damaged and had not worked in over 25 years. He quietly and efficiently worked his magic, and the clock looks and sounds wonderful! I could not recommend him more highly. He's the best!

I had been told by another Clock repair Co. that my GrandFather Clock of 20 years was to old to repair. I read the refiews of Back in Time Clock Repair and called Patrick Russell. Amazingly, Patrick came out and repaired my clock in one visit. He repaired various problems I had for the clock would not work. Patrick is such a kind, quiet person. He worked diligently on the clock. He enjoys working on clocks, which is such a God gift talent! I recommend Patrick not only for his talent in repairing clocks but also he is very reasonable in price.

My husband and I live in a small town about an hour outside of Austin. We had difficulty finding someone to come out to our house to service our clock--until we found Patrick with "Back in Time Clock Repair." Patrick came out to our house two times and serviced our clock for hours. (It had been over 8 years since our clock was serviced). He did a phenomenal job!!! Our clock now chimes the correct number of times and works correctly. It looks like it is a brand new clock. I give "Back in Time Clock Repair" my highest recommendation!

This guy is good. Pat came at the agreed appointment time on three different trips. He cleaned and repaired three antique wall clocks, and two grandfather clocks. He is a perfectionist and his love of old clocks is obvious. He will not give up till it is running puurfectly. Highly recommend him.

I decided to have 3 German wall clocks restored as a surprise for my wife for our 10th anniversary. All 3 had belonged to her parents and had been stored for 20+ years. They all needed wood trim repairs as well as the mechanism cleaned and whatever clock repair people do to get the clock to keep good time. Patrick's reviews are why I called him. He was very nice and answered all my questions and I had a good feeling about him, so I took all 3 clocks to his business. I told him that I was very concerned that the clocks were restored properly because of the sentimental value they had for my wife and that I had hoped to have one ready by our 10th anniversary. He spent an hour explaining what type of clocks they were, how they worked and what he would do to restore them. He quoted what seemed to be a fair price and then mentioned how busy he was but because of the special occasion he would make sure the first clock was ready by our anniversary. I picked what I thought would be my wife's favorite and left feeling like I got lucky finding Patrick. When I picked up the clock a couple days before our anniversary I was very happy. The finish was great, the delicately carved trim that had come off was back in place like new, the chimes sounded unbelievable and the clock mechanism looked new. It has been hanging on the wall for over a week and is keeping great time. My wife was completely blown away and we are looking forward to picking up the other clocks when there ready. I would highly recommend Patrick. He is one of the good guys.

Our grandfather clock had been sick for a long time but we hesitated to call any repair service since excellent service and professional conduct seemed (to us) to be a lost art, especially in something as sensitive and intricate as an old Grandfather clock!



After reading Pat's website, we called him to come out and look at our clock. He came out, on time and with all of his tools. After a thorough going-over, he knew exactly what the problem was, quoted us a more than fair price. He ordered the parts and when they came in, he tested the for a couple of days in his own shop to make sure they were perfect, then called us and set an appointment to come out and install them. Our clock now works wonderfully! And, if something unforeseen should happen, we have a 2 year warranty!



We recommend Pat Russell unconditionally as one of the craftsmen who still give it a hundred and ten percent.

What a pleasant surprise! My daughter had dropped her cuckoo clock and the hands weren't working correctly. I decided to also repair another clock with broken hands at the same time. I called and met Patrick the same day at his home. He was very friendly and rather then giving me the expected quote, he simply set to fixing the clocks while we chatted. Once they were fixed he said "no charge". What a nice way to do business! When I have other clock repairs, I'll definitely remember his good business dealings.

I have used Back In Time Clock Repair several times in the past, for repairing four antique wall clocks, and all of them are runnig perfect. I am writing this today, because Mr. Russell came out to our home several weeks ago to work on my Grandfather Clock that hasn't worked for years. I just have to say he came out and pulled the works or mechanical part out of the case and looked it over, and spotted several issues with it and showed me what was wrong with it, and said he would have it up and running shortly, and he did, and not only that My Grandfather clock is running better than it ever has. Iwas so happy he was able to fix it for me. Also I have to say he is very nice and polite.

Pat Russell with Back In Time Clock Repair is amazing. Clocks working well are his passion and it shows. He worked on a clock I bought at an antique shop that was not able to wind, let alone run.
