Recovery can take anywhere between 3 – 6 months and can be a painful process. It is common for patients who have had a deep facial peel to have their eyes swollen shut for a brief period following the procedure. After successful recovery, patients will see reduced signs of severe photoaging, and older tissue will be completely replaced by new tissue as the epithelial layer reforms over the recovery period.
