Green Papaya

Been going here since we moved our offices to the area. enjoy the atmosphere and the fact its a BYOB is nice after work to enjoy a nibble and a glass of something with a friend. I recommend the string beans and chicken extra spicy.

Good food, good atmosphere, good price and have great services. HOWEVER, if you wish to give the table-leader/greeter extra tip and include it in the check, the tip is confiscated by the manager/owner. This is an under the table operation and is not known by many customers. Many customers paid more just to award the staff they wish to award (customers explicitly told the manager/owner "this is for him/her"), but the staff(s) never received any of the money. The staff(s) was told "it's the policy" that extra tip for staff (other than the actual waiter/waitress) belongs to the owner and the staff wasn't allowed to tell customers about this "policy". Many customers paid extra without knowing this is going on.



Plain despicable, what a shame.
