I did my homework before selecting a basement waterproofing company and went with Arid. I'm glad that I did. Admittedly, this is a dusty, noisy, messy job. The crew was polite and professional and they treated my property with care. My water issues were during periods of extreme rain, which I have yet to experience since they completed the work. I'm confident that the system will work just fine when needed. Their price is very reasonable, and if you have been considering this work for your basement, give Pat at Arid Basement Waterproofing a call.

I am very impressed with Arid. I hired them to do the french drains in our home 11 years ago. They did a very professional job in that they quoted a price and a schedule, stuck to it and executed very well. Of course, the proof is always in the pudding! I would highly recommend Arid Basement Waterproofing Co. We did our research and had several different companies come and give us a quote and Arid was very reasonable in terms of price and knowledgeable about the work that needed to be done. They were professional and courteous, took the time to explain the options and the process to us, made sure to follow up right before the work was done to tell us how to seal off the rest of the house to keep it from getting dusty while the work was being done, and followed up after the work was done to make sure we were happy. They arrived on time on the date we had agreed upon and finished the work to our complete satisfaction in the same day which was less time than we expected. This is definitely a family run business where the owners take pride in their work.

I don’t take the time to write many reviews but after my experience with ARID WATERPROOFING, I thought I would offer up my comments!



My finished basement took on water twice in 7 years. That was enough for me to do something about it. When I decided to have French drains put it, I started asking around. People were all over the board with the comments so, I just started calling a few companies for estimates. I came to find out that there is a HUGE swing in price for basically, the same work being done.



I decided I would get three quotes. One quote was almost three (3x) times as high as ARID and it was a hard sell. That company was Mid Atlantic Waterproofing. The other quote was in the ball park of ARID but, they were not very professional. The guy who came to give me an estimate did not even have a tape measure to get the specs, etc. Plus, he hand wrote me a quote on a business card that wasn’t even his!



Finally, I landed on Arid and boy was I glad. I contacted them and spoke to Pat (the owner) and also his wife. There was no pressure at all. They sent out someone for the estimate. He was timely, professional and very courteous. After we went through a few things, he wrote up the quote and there was NO pressure to sign and get it done. No request for money either!



After a few days went by, I decided to pull the trigger and go with it. Finding a date to get the job done was tricky but, Pat was able to work things out and they were at my home in a few weeks time. When they showed up to do the work, I was very happy to see them!



The foreman, I think it was Jermaine (sp) was very polite and took time to answer some questions I had as they were going through the process. I tried not to hover but I find the process interesting so I poked my head in a few times. Every time I wanted to ask a questions, he would stop and listen without ever giving me the feeling that I was holding him or his crew up.



The job only took about 3-4 hours (I think) and they did a remarkable job. The finished product was exactly what was promised. Follow up calls to make sure everything was to my satisfaction ensued and that it what I call GREAT customer service.



I have since referred a couple of people to ARID and will gladly send them more referrals if someone I know is looking to have this kind of work done. Go ahead, get some other quotes for piece of mind but be sure to include ARID if you want it done right and at a fair price!

I had my system installed aprox 7 years ago. Before I had my drains installed every time it rained I would get water. Knock on wood my basement has been dry ever since.

We live in an area where the water table is extremely high and have had drainage issues in our yard since we bought the house.

We had our basement re-waterproofed in December 2009 by Arid. The first company that did our waterproofing when we first bought our house several years ago ripped us off big time (Atlantic Waterproofing, who went out of business a few years ago)! We called Arid because we were getting leakage into our basement again. They came PROMPTLY when called, and explained in terms I understood what was happening and why and how it can be fixed and all at an amazingly FAIR PRICE! Less than half of what the other company charged. They were at our house within the next week or so and completed the job in ONE DAY! NO mess left behind.

It's now March 2010, and we have experienced the WORST RAINS thus far in our area and happily... NO WATER in the basement! Not a drop. We are in process now of re-finishing our basement, something we couldn't do until we were 100% sure the water issues were taken care of.

After getting a bunch of estimates, I picked Arid because they came in, gave me a fair quote(they weren't the cheapest or the most expensive), told me exactly what they were going to do, and did it. My basement doesn't get a drop of water anymore and the Sante Fe dehumidifier they sold me works like no other dehumidifier i ever had. Believe me i went through 3 of them! Don't go to anyone else!
