Mr. Smokestack Chimney Service

Jeremy B and Joe M. were 2 of the best, most professional, most detailed workers that I've ever seen! I can't tell you how happy we were that we called Mr. Smokestack. Our Chimney had been leaking. They found the leak, the cracked bricks, the missing mortar and repaired everything, They scrubbed the fireplace, painted it and made it look like new! The also put on an new flue so that I could open and close it easily. They worked extremely hard, were very polite and made certain that everything was spotless. Thank you Jeremy and Joe!!!

I contracted them to replace a custom chimney cap. The original cap did not having siding underneath it, but the sales person said that was no problem. They would replace it with a standard cap and run the siding to cover the gaps. I gave them the manufacturer information for the siding, including the color and style. The contract specified that they were to install siding with the new cap.

On the scheduled day, they showed up a half hour late, with the wrong color and type of siding materials. They removed the old cap and installed the new cap, and said they would return with the correct siding material to complete the job. Later that day, they returned and placed a tarp over my chimney to keep the rain out, and said they would have to order the materials and return at a later date to complete the job. The next day, they called and said that they could not obtain the materials, and I would need to have someone else complete the job. I offered to accept similar color or another style siding, or even painted wood, I was very flexible, but they refused to complete the job. They said I'd have to contact they original installer or someone else to finish the work.

I'm very unhappy that they quit and left me with a partially completed chimney, and that I will have to get someone else to finish their work. I wish they were professional enough to not start a job they could not complete. I'm worse off now than before they started.

Brendan was our tech and did an outstanding and professional job. He replaced heat panels and chimney cover. He was very neat and went over and above our expectations. He even fixed our fireplace glass door and painted the log grate!! Thank you Brendan! Very satisfied customer and would recommend Mr. Smokestack.

We had the guys from Mr. Smokestack come out to Wilson to do a repointing job on our chimney. They were prompt, courteous and very professional. The quality of work was top notch and we've recommended them to our local preservation society.
