Originally from Spokane, Washington, Evan Simonson traveled to Seattle to obtain his B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Washington. He then earned his doctorate at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago, Illinois and completed his residency in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery at Wheaton-Franciscan St. Joseph's Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Dr. Simonson's residency training included high volumes of reconstructive foot and ankle surgery with nationally renowned orthopedic and pediatric surgeons. In addition to this, he also completed orthopedic trauma training at the University of Missouri, a level one trauma center. The training he received through these experiences allows him to confidently provide evidence driven, state of the art care of the foot and ankle. He is active in research, and is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Focusing on excellent outcomes, Dr. Simonson is skilled in both surgical and conservative treatment of the foot and ankle. His surgical procedures include ankle arthroscope, ankle replacement, ligament reconstruction, surgical treatment of arthritis of the foot and ankle, forefoot reconstruction, sports injuries and fracture care.
