A BIG THANK YOU! We lost all sound on our HDTV after a power outage last week. After checking all the settings, we reluctantly decided to make arrangements to have the TV repaired, and called Shipley's. Rather than just saying, "bring it in", Shipley's generously took the time to go through a checklist with me on the phone, and then strongly suggested it was the cable box! After a reset signal from Comcast, everything is fine. Shipley's has saved me time, money and aggravation, and proved themselves to be a business worthy of trust.

Marshall did an antenna repair and digitial conversion at my son's house in Thurmont. He did an amazing job. His service was thorough, quick and effective. I would use him for all antenna and other service work.

I wouldn't recommend this place for vintage stereo repairs. They seemed afraid to try to even attempt to fix a vintage integrated amplifier. Very disappointed!

Shipley's has been around for a long time; they have earned a reputation as a solid, dependable and trustworthy store. They're the ones to go to if you need a TV antenna--that's what I went there for. With the switch to digital in Feb 09, they will become an even more important resource.Not many people still do this sort of thing; I hope they continue for a long time. Great shop.They also do a whole lot of Satellite TV and TV repair--I didn't go there for that, so I can't comment on it. But I'm sure they bring the same level of service to that part of their business.

I had a large Phillips plasma TV that started to do strange things (blue dots showing up in dark grey fast motion shows). Phillips was unaware of the symptom.Shipley's figured it out - fixed it fast and did not scratch or damage the heavy TV in any way.GREAT JOB SHIPLEY'S
