The client called on us for insulation, As we were working we determined that he also had duct's that were lose and even collapsed in places. I informed him that they needed work. The state of Alabama laws in regards to work on duct's is that it is in the domain of licensed HVAC contractors only. I can be fined for replacing or repairing duct's. I do blow insulation over them in attempt to reduce air loss, and have taped over some leaks. I offered to the client to come back for FREE and re-insulate the areas once they were repaired. The offer still stands. He can call and I will come back once he has the repair completed...FREE, nobody else would have done that.
