Uptown Moving & Storage

Don't waste youre time with uptown moving and storage. We trust Todd with our things for a year. Upon return we found a missing compound miter saw, bottom of a water fountain, card table and chairs. My 4 year olds bike was missing that he was excite to get back and ride it. Todd argued with us on some of the things that were claim were missing. If you trust uptown with your thing you will be sorry that you did. Uptown will damage your furniture and lose some of it and say atleast you got 95 % back. Keep looking for a reputable company that will return all your things back to you.

I called to get a quote. The person I talked to was polite and professional. I set up the move that day.

My estimated time was between 2 and 3 in the afternoon. They called at 3 to say they would arrive in 15 minutes. The men were professional and kind.

The unloading of my items was fast and efficient. I was very pleased with this service. The price they quoted was accurate as well.

I was moving out of the area for a new job opportunity and I needed to find a moving company that I could trust with my valuables. I have a lot of important items in my house that needed to be handled with care. I called them and from the woman who took my call to the movers who handled my valuables,I was treated with respect and integrity throughout the entire process. I would highly recommend this company. You need someone you can trust when moving valuable items and the people at this company are trustworthy. Overall, an amazing experience.

They arrived early, the move went great I was situated in my new home within 2 days that's it. Really recommend this company to anyone it was fast and great.

Bought a Living Social voucher to move from one area of Saint Louis Park to another on 5/18. They were scheduled to come at 8a and be done by noon. Still no one at 845a, when we called, they had us scheduled for 1p. They did show up as soon as they finished their other job, it was before 1p. The mix-up was exceedingly annoying, but it ended up working out for our schedule.

I had packed up and transported most of my "stuff" by myself, but wasn't going to deal with moving furniture up and down the stairs on my own. The movers had all the equipment (wrapped furniture in heavy saran wrap) and holsters to move the heavy stuff. they had a huge truck and ramp. All I kept thinking was how glad I didn't have to try moving the couch down the apartment stairs myself. The movers didn't talk much, got right down to business, but were pretty smelly, probably smoked 10 cigs each on the ride over. I was worried (needlessly) that the smell would get into the furniture, it didn't. No damage or anything with any of my items.

They set all the furniture in the rooms I wanted, even set up the bed frame and put down the mattress. I had to pay for an extra hour of work because I went over the 3 hour voucher time limit. I am glad I went with the voucher because I knew how much I'd be paying right off the bat w/o having to do estimates and call around. Mid-month had cheaper rates than month-end. I noticed a lot of mover's sites didn't have prices posted online - this was much easier for me.

I hope I don't have to move again anytime soon, but I'd definitely go this route again.

I was a customer of Uptown Transfer for a move from Apple Valley, MN to Farmington, MN which were only about 10 minutes apart from point of origin to destination. This was a move that involved an overnight stay because I was closing on a new home. The movers arrived at my home unprepared for the move with other items loaded on their truck. They did not even know what they were going to move. They had no tools and had to borrow my tools to disassemble my bed and other pieces of equipment. They did not have hanger boxes which they had promised to deliver when they arrived the day of the move. Multiple items were broken some beyond repair. Items were removed from the truck and taken back to their warehouse supposedly for repair. These items were not surveyed by me so I don't even know the extent of the damage to the item. They have made a claim to repair and return the items that were loaded back on to their truck for repair. I would not recommend this company at all. It isn't good.

Awesome Movers. We were told 13 hours before our move that Bellhops were unable to move our daughter. This was even after we gave reserved their services 2 weeks prior. Thank goodness Uptown Movers had a last minute cancellation. Mike and Colin were amazing, professional and courteous. I would HIGHLY recommend them. Moved my daughter out and in the new place in 3.25 hours. Made what started out as a very stressful day, a great day!

Accredited by the BBB? If you are thinking of hiring this company you might want to checkt he complaints on teh BBB website to find out what you are in for. I sure wish I would have looked into them before I hired them!
