Dr. Pawel Stachowich is the most amazing surgeon I know and will ever know. He has a huge heart and cares for each patient like know other would. He listens to your needs, and knows exactly how to help you. When anxiety creeps up before surgery all it takes is a phone call from Dr. S to talk you down and make you laugh. Finding a surgeon as wonderful as him is hard to do. He as been a blessing. I am now confident with my reconstruction and am so thankful that I crossed the path with Dr. S just over a year ago. Thank you for making me happy with the new "ME". Cancer isn't fun, but great people definitely came into my life, Dr. Stachowicz thank you!

I started my "B" cancer journey in 2011 & revisited it in 2013 with a mastectomy completion-followed by chemo. With relief & joy I can say Dr Pawel Stachowicz was with me through it all- a mastectomy ,multiple reconstructions & "B" reduction - even though I live 5 hours away - he was only ever a phone call away - night or day to answer any questions, just listen or hold my hand through chemo,etc- After surgery we talked everyday& sent photos- so he was updated on my progress.. I felt very safe & secure in his hands & am very pleased with the outcome.- He is a one of a kind Doc: comforting, caring-- not God like -treats you like the important person you are & always has time for you . Well worth the 5 hour trip.

Hearing the words - you have br cancer is scary! You have many concerns and questions. I have worked in the medical field for 40 years. I have never met/heard of a more caring & compassionate physician than Dr Stachowicz. On top of that he is an amazing plastic surgeon! When my husband & I met with him he put us at ease, answered all our questions and injected humor when appropriate. He truly is always accessible, which was verified after my bilateral mastectomy on 1-17-14. I had slow healing issues and there were many days I received a text from him to check on things. He cares about both the physical & mental health of his patients. My reconstruction surgeries are complete & I look and feel fantastic. Thank you Dr S for your expertise. I HAVE & WILL continue to refer family/friends to you as you are the BEST!

After numerous consultations with surgeons in the Minneapolis area, my search was over after meeting with Dr. Stachowicz. In my experience, a patient is given a small window in which to interact with a doctor and is then directed back to the nurse or assistants. Not so with Dr. Stachowicz. He took time to listen, was thorough in explaining my options and made himself accessible throughout the entire process. No jumping through hoops and having calls screened by a line of nurses. I was able to call or text him directly. That line of communication was especially valuable during the long recovery process when concerns or questions such as “is this normal…” would arise.

I am fully recovered and so pleased with my results. Dr. Stachowicz is an outstanding surgeon and has an exceptional bedside manner. My husband and I often comment, "If only every doctor practiced exactly like him." My sincerest gratitude to Dr. S for giving me my body and confidence back.

Dr. Stachowicz is by far the best doctor I have met. He truly cares about his patients. He was very quick responding to questions/concerns I had before and after my surgery and really appreciated that I could contact him directly and not have to go through a receptionist.

Dr. Stachowicz has been an exceptional ally throughout my b. cancer journey. I had the unfortunate news of b. cancer at age 36 and saw several reconstructive surgeons for opinions on what approach to take after my bilateral mastectomy. Dr. Stachowicz was the third surgeon that I saw and I immediately felt comfortable and reassured that he would stick by my side from the first surgery throughout the second, third, fourth phases of reconstruction. And he has done just that. He's always just a phone call or text away when I need an appt or I have a question I know he can answer. His approach to assisting women through the process of b. cancer is unparalleled to anyone in the field. He knows that cancer/surgeries/chemo is an extremely stressful time and he encourages you to find ways to manage that stress by referring you to known specialists in the area of massage, exercise, yoga, etc. I'm also extremely satisfied with the outcome of my surgeries. His talent, compassion and sense of humor have enabled me to feel whole again.
