Supercuts

I got an amazing hair cut there. won't go anyplace else the girls there are so friendly

I feel like for the last 20 years I just keep volunteering for trainwrecks. I keep going back to Supercuts, and Great Clips, because I want to save money. Every single time, I recieve a butchering that takes 9 months to grow out.



Yesterday, I went in with a photograph from a hairstyle magazine. It was an EASY cut, and I explained over and over, but the poor little college student just couldn't mentally get it. She would say "you mean you want it feathered here?". I said "NO! No feathering!.....I said two layers only, the shortest layer can't be above my chin. I will curl the top layer under and the bottom layer up". (it is the old "Rachel" Jennifer Anniston cut) She said, after some time of "being confused" (even while looking at the picture) that she understood.



When I got home, I had the same haircut I went in with, except that it was now all layered from up around my eyes down. I look horrible, and it isnt what I asked for. My bangs were 1 inch longer on one side than the other. I essentially have a sort of "shag".



This might make all the expensive salons smile in glee, but I have also gotten just as bad of haircuts there, which is why I thought, if I'm going to get a crappy haircut, why not pay less for it.



So....I will be heading to an expensive salon, and take my chances on getting a haircut there.



A year ago, I had an even worse cut at this salon. I asked for the same "Rachel" cut, and she actually came close, except that she cut layers so deep that I had a "helmit" that ended at my ears, then had the second layer so thinned out that it hugged my neck like a tube top. That one took over 9 months to grow out. This new will cut will take at least 3-5 months to grow out to where I can try again.



These girls at these cheap salons either are in college to do something else, or they had such low scores in "beauty school" that they will never get a job in a nice salon. You dont get what you pay for, you get less.
