        Get their lien policy

        If you want to avoid lien issues, be very careful of Von Tobels. They will use liens as a weapon to get paid. Look into a no-lien project by using the recorder before dealing with Von Tobels.

        Before you allow ANY vendor of yours to buy from Von Tobels get their lien policy IN WRITING. You'll be happy you did. Von Tobels will aggressively go after you to get paid -- even if you've paid the vendor already.
