Snyders Shades & Shutters

This is one of those times it would be nice to be able to give zero stars. We had Snyder's Shades install over $10k worth of blinds last year. I have since tried multiple times to contact Craig to order a couple more blinds and address a couple issues we have with those he installed. All of our many calls and emails have been completely ignored. We are baffled and dumbfounded by this absolute lack of service. I have no idea how (or if??) this business continues to exist.

When my fraternity first got a house at Virginia Tech, it was entirely unfurnished. We didn't have much money to put together a lot of nice furniture, let alone nice window blinds, but we were referred to Marty Simon by his son, Craig, who was a student there at the time. He came down to Blacksburg from Northern Virginia to measure the windows free of charge (and to visit his son). When it was all said and done, he actually donated all the blinds to our fraternity. We were blown away by his kindness and professionalism. We couldn't thank him enough. The blinds look great, and they have been able to withstand the wear and tear of an active fraternity house beautifully.

Snyder's Shades was the perfect company to deal with to get the window treatments that fit beautifully in my home. Marty, the owner came out to my house and spent as much time as I needed while we walked through the house and discussed what would look best. He is certainly an expert in his field. The best part was that he didn't try to take my money. In fact, I think he was trying to save my money even more than I was! His prices are definitely the lowest in the area, and he made sure I got a beautiful product for a price that really made sense to me. The installer came out and did a perfect job putting my treatments in and i couldn't be happier with how it looks. I would recommend him to everyone I know. My house is beautiful and I have Snyder's to thank for it!
