        Our adoption program builds families by helping in preparing to welcome a child, whether an infant, a child with special needs, or a child from another country. Catholic Charities offers counseling and compassion to expectant birth mothers and fathers to help make the best decisions. Our Emergency Services offers confidential, caring assistance with life’s basic needs. Financial difficulties can develop quickly and be devastating—our certified financial and housing counselors will help you plan a budget and manage your debt. We also offer housing and bankruptcy counseling. Immigration offers direct legal assistance to all immigrants for naturalization and adjustment of status. Sojourner House Shelter in Eau Claire offers overnight housing, shower and laundry facilities. La Crosse office also offers: Disabilities Services assists children and adults challenged by Autism and Aspergers by working with families and children along with after school and summer school programs. The Warming Center-La Crosse offers overnight relief during winter months. Prairie du Chien office also offers: Domestic Abuse Support: assistance with increased safety and decreased isolation for victims. * Fridays by Appointment.
