After multiple quotes from different companies I decided to go with Compass. At the time the reviews were good. They came out to install my heat and air unit. the first crew seemed very nice but didn't quite understand what they were supposed to do. I explained that they were going to install more registers in the house because my house didn't have enough from when it was built. Instead of cutting the hole in my carpet the size of the vent, they cut it double the side of the hole the register would fit. When I ask for a supervisor to come out so i could show them what they were already doing wrong. the woman at the office was rude and said no one was available to come out. she said they know what their doing. I told her about the issue with my carpet and her remark was ( it's old carpet anyways) I was planning on replacing it with hard wood floors in time but not at that time. They left for the day and on the next day another set of guys showed up to tear out the old duct work and start the install the new unit. I asked for the new furnace to be mounted up against the floor under the house and was told (NO) we can't do that. I asked for the thermostat to be placed on a different wall and was again told (NO) at that point I felt like it wasn't even my house. They had the instructions laid out on my lawn on how to install the furnace and unit. These boys weren't much older then 23. When asked how much experience they had, they said 5 years between the two of us. I again called and ask for a supervisor to come out to the house and again w told (NO) by the same rude lady at the office. IT took them 7 days to install our central air unit and furnace. Once finished I called the office again and ask if they were going to give me a carpet allowance. I wasn't asking for a complete carpet allowance but at least something. She said we will pay half and you pay half. I said NO I didn't screw up the carpet, you guys did. I said I have pictures of every thing you did wrong.
I came home from work and I had no heat. I called Compass and got the answering service because it was after hours. Jim was on-call and returned my call within 10 minutes. I explained what was going on and he said it sounded like something he could take care of without having to wait until the next day for a part, etc. He came out and 30 minutes later I had a warm house again. Jim also explained that because I am an established customer they could bill me so I didn't have to come up with the money on the spot. I would recommend them to anyone!
I would advise you not to use this company they acted like they didn't need my business and my heat still doesn't work!..
This is probably the worst place to have come out and fix your air conditioning. They are very unprofessional, rude, and overpriced. They try and charge you for things that they do not even do. I would suggest Metro Heating and Air. They are close to the same location with better prices and much more professional. Take it from me, do not choose Compass unless you want to be disappointed.
