Jackson Deli

I was in the area so I decided to try Estes Deli & BBQ in Jackson, located in the old Pizza hut building for some BBQ. I've been there a few times before but every time I was in the mood for BBQ this place was closed? Well, I was finally able to catch him open one day and went in and ordered me some BBQ and some roast beef on the side to go. Not a real big place no thrills no city light but the food is good nothing you would want to take a hot date too but then again it probably would not be open any ways unless you plan your time wisely. I enjoyed the food only issue is, they are only open for a few hours for lunch.

Estes is about as friendly and "Mayberry" of a restaurant as you can get. It is the type of place where you go to eat and folks know you by name and rather expect what you're going to order. It generally has a very friendly vibe to it, which is very nice in this day and age. The food is just as great as the atmosphere though, with some of the best BBQ combo sandwiches (with pimento cheese, that is) I have ever had, plus pretty decent daily specials. If you are ever stopping by in town, I would recommend checking out Estes, and be sure to order at least one regular combo sandwich when you go.
