Salas Services

First of all, I would rate Salas Services with 0 Stars. About the only thing I can say good about them is that they work cheap.



I had them hang my Christmas lights this last December. I had to have them come back to hang them properly as they were not put up the first time symmetrically so that the house looked balanced. They just strung up lights wherever. Once they returned and that was fixed, we found that the lights would short out if it rained. With dry weather, the lights worked, but with the rain, our GFI switch would sense water somewhere and click off. So, during our Christmas party, it rained... WE HAD NO LIGHTS! All my other lights that I did personally that I put on the bushes, doors, etc. worked fine, so I never understood why my roof lights didn't work in the rain. I didn't call them about this because their communication is terrible and it wouldn't have helped anyway by that time. Salas Services only has one person who can speak English and she never really communicates well nor returns calls right away if you do call her, so I said to myself "forget it", I'll deal with the rain issue this time.



Finally, after the season was over, I had them take the lights down. Well, they then TORE UP MY ROOF CAUSING $175 DAMAGE! I confronted them about this in emails and calls, but they never responded. I know they ruined my roof because I had my roof looked at just last August. That same roofer came back out and put in writing that somebody tore up shingles since last August when he last inspected my roof. I found light clips all over the ground too which to me indicated they did a quick "yank job" to take the lights down. That's why my shingles were pulled off and broken. I also found later the lights themselves were damaged too, causing me more expense.



I filed a Better Business Bureau complaint for one last try to fix this with them, but they blew them off also. Please, do yourself a favor - DO NOT CALL THESE PEOPLE! You'll be sorry if you do.
