K & M Glass

I couldn't be more pleased by the service and advice I received from K&M. I dropped off two arch-topped cabinet doors to get panels cut. When I went to pick them up, K&M had the panels cut and installed. Super job! I just called in an order to replace a broken pane in my french door. It was ready (and edge sanded) before i could get there. I'd recommend them to anyone.

Won't be using K&M Glass again. 5 months after installing laminated glass as a replacement for tempered, a crack formed from the edge, about 1' up from a corner, and was clearly caused by either a manufacturing defect or improper cleaning of the broken glass in the frame before reinstallation. K&M refused to replace, claiming laminated glass is extremely fragile, and the crack was caused by someone "bumping" up against it, or by the pressure of a plastic markerboard sign that was leaning against it. Of course, we weren't warned before purchase that breathing on the glass would crack it, and, in fact, we paid an extra 25%, waited three additional days with a boarded up shop, on their recommendation, to have the glass laminated for strength in the first place. This refusal tactic was a very seedy and disgusting insult to my intelligence, but hey, it saved them the cost and trouble of replacing a window.
