Morningside Thai

Food was not spicy at all, even at the second level, and I generally can't take much heat (they have four heat ratings - zero, one, two, and three stars). They kept our water full, but we had to keep asking for more rice (they kept giving us only enough for two people), and hot chili sauce (we got a very small condiment bowl for the table of four).



I was thinking about desert, but then we trapped a roach under the soy sauce. The waiter was clearing the table and let the roach free. He nearly brushed it onto me, and we had to kill it on the floor - then they didn't apologize or make any hospitality offer! I gave two stars on google, but the more I think about it, the more I want to give no stars.

Awesome food! Waiters are good - not great - they try hard though :-) Owner know how to make authentic Thai so if you don't like things sweetened or changed the way it is often done to accommodate americans, just tell her real thai style :-) For those who say its bland...Mine has never been bland and you can ask for 1 spicy, 2 spicy, 3 spicy, etc...to make it as spicy as you want. The building could use some repairs but I find the places that are new and shiny often have the worst food. The Kee Mow fried rice beef and the spring rolls as well as the red curry is to die for delicious! They give me extras when I ask without charging and do not complain or charge for substitutions. The cook is from Thailand and does a fantastic job every single time I go - whether I dine in or get it to go! I STILL LOVE THIS PLACE!!!
