Kirin Anime

Pre-ordered something 3 months ago and they kept telling me they would ship it. Never would, so I canceled my order but now they refuse to refund my $300 and am having to file a dispute with my CC.

I just bought from Kirin Hobby, very happy with my purchase. It was a very hard to find item and they sold it at a very reasonable price. Great place to buy!

I would avoid this company at all costs. I purchased an item from their website and chose the shipping that said the expected delivery date was 2-4 business days. So a week and a half went by so I shot them an email asking what the status of my order was because their site said nothing else had happened with my order since I paid on the order date. Into the second week after a few more emails. I started to try to call the company. It said the call window was 2pm-6pm PST, so living on the west coast I called them during their window. 2 days went by with constant calls. and I never got ahold of them. So halfway into the second week with no response to the company I opened a complaint on paypal. Once their funds were going to get off they finally took action and emailed me, claiming I got a backlisted item, I went back to their website and still couldn't find anything saying it was backlisted. They told me it was under the "buy it now" option. Finally I realized their mistake. They thought I was using ebay to purchase the item Not sure how the company that sold me the item didn't know it was a non-ebay purchase but that's a whole other level of incompetence. Their website says any emails would be responded to within a day or two. After a week I was a little upset and frustrated. All they needed was give me an update. Maybe just tell me it was backlisted, and maybe an estimate on when it would be available. And why couldn't they answer their phone? This company while they have a nice selection (that Ive learned elsewhere is usually backlisted), their customer service is atrocious. I would avoid KIRIN Hobby just because if their is a problem you probably wont get any help, or even an acknowledgement that there is a problem!
