        For being the only full-service chain supermarket in the Five Cities, the Vons store in Grover Beach is somewhat of a disappointment. I have visited this store many times on my grocery shopping trips, only to find that the prices on the items they sell are usually VERY high (when compared to most other area grocers). Although the quality of Vons' meats and seafood, deli, and bakery departments is decent, the overall feeling I get whenever I order a sandwiches or some ground beef (for example) is one of dissatisfaction with the service from its employees. Said service is usually mediocre, and it takes some time to get whatever items I want from the fresh departments. The store is also very crowded at peak shopping times, with parking difficult to find and the checkout lines long (not enough cash registers are open even at these times). Overall, I would only recommend this Vons store to those people who are looking to buy only a few items per trip, as you can find better service and/or lower prices elsewhere on the Central Coast.
