Hi, My name is Lindsey, I went to a massage envy today. My massage was very nice! my first time getting a massage. However I had a appointment last week for a massage. we had a ice storm and I was unable to make the appointment, so I called and re scheduled for this week and the lady on the phone told me that I need t pay for 50% off my service. that's a crock I shouldn't have to pay for something I didn't receive. I was mad and she waved the fee. Then when I got there this morning I was bombarded with a bunch of questions about my life. It was early I didn't want to talk or be rude so I just answered them. I did the question paper she gave me to fill out. I understood that. I went in for my massage and it was soo nice relaxing. I got done and was very oily I felt as though I needed to shower I had it all in my hair. I looked like I hadn't washed my hair in weeks. I went out into the lobby to pay and the lady behind the desk was telling me about all these fees and wanted me to become a member and I get a free massage. yada yada yada. I wasn't impressed already because she was overly nice (forced). my boyfriend had told me that when he went in there they told him to just get a $100.00 gift card because with gratuity that would be sufficient amount. he doenst know anything about this kind of stuff so he just bought it. so I give her the gift card and she tells me shes going to wave the 39.00 fee and just charge me for the massage. (BS) 39.00 fee for what! NOTHING! I asked her if I could get a facial today as well to get the gift card used up and she tells me that I wouldn't be able to because the facial lady isn't there today.. (BS) so next time would go in it would be over $100.00 for just a facial. instead of the 49.00 special rate for being my first time.. (also BS) so I told her to put $10.00 extra on the gift card for the tip.. she says unfortunately we are not allowed to put gratuity's on the gift card. so she hands me an envelope. LUCKY I had cash on me or my massage therapist wouldn't have gotten tips for a nice job she did. all Im saying my boyfriend did an amazing job with getting me a massage but he didn't have to be taken for more money than he needed to be. and I didn't need to be bombarded by the receptionist. Now im stuck with a 51 dollar gift card I tried to spend online.
