Chism's Cleaners

The customer service at Chism's is terrible. They do things the way they like and is convenient for them. They aren't interested in what you like or what you need. All you are is just another customer, and there's more where you came from. At Chism's, the customer is always wrong.

I work at a business that uses this company for our guest’s dry cleaning needs. Usually we don't have a problem. But on one instance, a guest’s clothes came back smelling like cigarette smoke. I figured it was the guest that smoked, so I let it go. When the guest checked out a week later, he complained and refused to pay for the dry cleaning, which was understandable. When I tried to resolve the issue with the one hour dry cleaners, the first lady I talked to (Sharon) didn't seem interested in what I had to say at all. She told me I would have to speak with the owner the following day. By the time he finally called me back, he was very defensive and refused to believe that this ever happened. He stated he needed proof or that we should've let them re clean the clothes. Why would a guest want to send his clothes off again after that experience?! AJ refused to refund that one order and after arguing for 30 minutes and threatening to move our business elsewhere, he finally agreed to take it off “THIS ONE TIME!”. I didn’t get an apology or anything. What kind of customer service is that??

Learned a very valuable lesson this past weekend. When dropping off clothes to be pressed by a dry cleaner, especially CHISM'S, I should have had the attendant not only write the day of pick-up, but the time of pick-up as well. I was told to pick-up my items 'Anytime after 3pm' on Sat, Sept., 28th, '13. My response was... "I will be here at exactly 3pm, my son and his group of friends will be taking pictures for homecoming". The lady, Norma, I believe her name is, nodded and said 'Fine'.



Showed up at 3pm...doors closed. Yes, the items I dropped off were his clothes for homecoming. Owner declined to accept responsibility for the problem that occurred on his end with his employee. Will NEVER use them again nor EVER recommend their services to anyone. It's very unfortunate because I feel this company has done something right to stay in business for so long, but to not take care of the mistake that took place on their end could end up costing them in the long run. I doubt anyone I know of would like to be 'stuck' without their outfit for a school dance or other important event. Thank goodness it was only Homecoming and not a Wedding. Notifying BBB next. Hopefully this situation can be avoided in the future.

I usually don't write reviews but this one is a must. I took my used wedding dress to Chism's Cleaners on Saturday March 31, 2012 to have it cleaned and pressed. I was in doubt at first because I hadn't known anything about this cleaners. I found them on yp.com. The service reps were very friendly and assisted me with all of my questions. My dress had orange stains on them and I questioned the cleaning and they promised me that they would not destroy the sequence on my dress. I must say, My dress looks BRAND NEW. They did an awesome job and I would recommend anyone to them. The price for cleaning was very affordable. JOB WELL DONE Chism's Cleaners.

I really like Chism's Cleaners. They have always done a good job of getting my shirts cleaned and pressed well. Service is friendly and plus they are close to home for me. My only complaint is the time they need to clean my clothes. Everything takes at least 3 to 4 days.
