Ozark Dermatology Clinic

Went to this place hoping to rid myself of a skin condition. Upon arrival I was initially impressed, doctor and nurse nice and professional. However I informed the doctor and associates. However I was told by doctor my condition was either condition A or B. Instead of giving medicine I was told i needed a biopsy (which was $400 price undisclosed to me at the time). This wouldn't be a problem but the results were that I had condition A or B, which gives me no help and I am now in the same spot I was in upon arrival only 400 dollars in the negative.

My daughter, who is 22 and on our insurance policy, goes in to have a mole removed from her back, irritated because it's just below her bra strap--and it's been like this for months (and I find out later, the mole was never removed) and the PA asks her if she would like to have this mole "biopsied"--figuring it's all under insurance. Her back has numerous small, benign moles. This biopsy results in charges resulting in over $440 of initial billing, mostly for this biopsy. Well, this goes to household's deductible. I get stuck with a $267.52 bill--when nothing ends up getting done. Consider dermatologists where you can receive some explanation, not some place that can hire two full-time receptionists, 4-5 office managers/nurses, a couple PAs, and no M.D. visible. These little biopsies ($180) are probably what make the business profitable, but they look pretty ridiculous if they're performed on a patient with numerous moles that has coming to your practice for over 5 years. I don't begrudge someone making a buck, but using price insensitive young adults that believe a copayment will cover a visit where "someone else will pay," borders on a scam.

This is a very professional clinic with a comfortable feel to the décor. I've been a couple times and each time my problems were dealt with swiftly and correctly on the first visit. I'd recommend it to a friend in a second.

I greatly dislike this place. I show up 10minutes early to sign in and wait and EVERY time they do not call me in until 30 or more minutes after my scheduled time. I then sit in a back room waiting to see the PA. When he finally wanders in he is here for no more than 10 minutes. Such a waste of my time and money. This is the third time, and last they will do this to me. I highly suggest you go elsewhere if you want them to actually look at your issue. One time just for the neck of it I said "dont you think I should try" and he said yea write her a prescription for that. Really?!?! Like I know what I am talking about that's why I came to see them. Very unhappy with the service here. As of this moment I am waiting to see the PA for an appointment 40 min ago. So very unhappy. I leave work early to make this appointment!

I have nothing but praise for this clinic. From the moment I booked the appointment all the way through checking out, the entire office staff was among the most helpful and friendliest that I have ever experienced. The doctor really took the time to listen to my specific skin concerns an answered all of my questions.
