Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) – A diagnostic procedure that uses a combination of large magnets, radiofrequencies, and a computer to produce detailed images of organs and structures within the body. This test is done to rule out any associated abnormalities of the spinal cord and nerves.

Computed Tomography
Computed Tomography Scan (Also called a CT or CAT scan.) – A diagnostic imaging procedure that uses a combination of x-rays and computer technology to produce cross-sectional images (often called slices), both horizontally and vertically, of the body. A CT scan shows detailed images of any part of the body, including the bones, muscles, fat, and organs. CT scans are more detailed than general x-rays.

Orthopedics
Jeff Lien is an Orthopedic Physician Assistant to Dr. Roger Dunteman. He grew up in Jerome, Idaho and graduated from Jerome High School in 1991. He attended Boise State University where he received two Bachelor of Science degrees, one in Athletic training and the other in Health promotion. He continued his education and obtained a Master of Exercise Science degree at Boise State. He was then hired at Boise State University as a full time Associate Athletic Trainer in charge of football, wrestling and track. He then returned to school and obtained his masters in Physician Assistant Studies from Rocky Mountain College in September of 2006. He has been practicing in orthopedics since his graduation and began working with Dr. Dunteman in the spring of 2008. He currently lives in Post Falls. Jeff enjoys spending time with his family and friends, running with his wife and attending sporting events.
Arthroscopy

Ankle Surgery
Each of our physicians are board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS), meaning they have met the rigorous education, evaluation, and examination requirements of the Board. Our physicians have the experience you can trust, in addition to the nine years of post-collegiate education and training required to become an orthopedic surgeon, all the physicians at OSSM have pursued advanced fellowship training in a number of orthopedic subspecialties. These specialties include adult hip and knee reconstruction (joint replacement), foot and ankle surgery, shoulder, knee and elbow/hand surgery.
Joint Replacement
OSSM offers comprehensive care for patients with arthritic and pre-arthritic conditions of the hip requiring joint replacement/reconstruction.
Hand Surgery
Our surgeons have received specialized training in hand surgery. Dr. Keese is the only Fellowship Trained Hand Surgeon in North Idaho.
Orthopedic Surgery
Upon graduating from Georgetown University Medical School in the top 15% of his class, Dr. Keese completed a 5 year orthopedic surgery residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center where he received the distinguished "Leonard Marmor Surgical Arthritis Foundation Award" for excellence in orthopedic surgery.

Dr. Sims is sports medicine fellowship trained with focus on shoulder, knee and elbow arthroscopy reconstruction and arthroplasty procedures.
Hip Replacement
Hip Preservation is an alternative to total hip replacement aimed toward active adults who, historically, have an increased risk for failure of a conventional hip replacement. It allows patients to have their arthritic, damaged hip bones reshaped and resurfaced, not removed.
