The Granite Man

I don't recommend this company. During my remodel this company had to be the biggest disappointment. The granite for the center island arrived in poor condition. There had to be at least 10-15 chips around the perimeter. Every seam was poorly done, one in the center island and two on the outer counter. During the installation I repeatedly mentioned that the seams did not look good, but was told over and over again by the installers that the seams were acceptable. Even googled a seam on the internet, showed the installer the photo, he agreed the seams looked the same, asked him to read to me the caption under the photo (it said "Bad Seam"), and he only said, "It says what you have been saying all day". Asked the installers to stop their work because I wanted the owner to call me. Installers left my house that day a mess- empty water bottle and monster drink cans not picked up, counters were left dirty (I wish I took a photo of the dirty rags so that you could see how nasty they were and they actually applied the sealer without cleaning the counters first!), and whatever they used to "glue" the seam together on the center island got on the floor and had to be repaired at our expense.Owner never called that day (Thursday), took off work on Friday but only received a call from the lady in the office that Chad (the owner) would not be available until Monday or Tuesday. By the time I did hear from Chad, my husband already had two other companies come to our home and inspect their work. All agreed the seams were bad. The entire center island granite had to be removed, recut because of all the chips, and reinstalled again before ever hearing from Chad.

Two months after install the outer counter seam has separated. I contacted Chad via email and was informed that we didn't have a warranty. Chad will act very nice on the phone while "selling" you, but when it comes to his work and standing behind it he really is not very nice and can't be relied on.
