Roper Hospital

At 31 years old I have really bad back disease... I was raised to keep going and no need to go to the dr unless you literally can not move.... 4 months ago my primary care Dr told my mom to take me to the ER immediately bc Id already had spinal fusion and I was in pain, complete numbness and lost function of arm and leg, and that I needed an emergent MRI. Roper ER Dr said no, came in hit me w/ a shot of something that hurt sooo bad my heart rate shot straight up, and then they sent me home.

Called them and they did not know anything about who to connect me with for my needs. They don't know about their own departments. Not even how to connect me to pulmonary rehab. Very unknowlegeable.

They were not as quick as they should be. With only 4 people to take care of nurses on night shift slow. I heard 1 nurse say she put her ear buds in & went to sleep almost all night & they all laughed about it!!!!

Great hospital exellent staff

It is so amazing that i was born in charleston in roper st. Francis and that it is still here today
