AZ Air Duct Cleaning Company

John and Scott came out to do my dryer vent and air ducts. This is the first time I have had them cleaned, and I've been in this house since 1988! They did a fantastic job and cleaned up the mess afterwards! I was embarrassed that there was so much lint in my dryer vent, and so much dirt in my ducts. It has definitely made my drying time go down. It's made it easier to breathe, and smells great now too. I will definitely have this done again, and would highly recommend them!

To all my Canadian friends out there, go ahead and use these guys.

John and his son Scott did a great job! I had them clean the air ducts in my new house and brought them back to clean the dryer vent. They were fast, thorough and cleaned up after their messy work. In addition, they were prompt and called before they showed up. They even gave my air ducts a free disinfectant treatment because the job went so easily. John was very professional. I didn't speak much with Scott, but he was polite. I would use these guys again in a heartbeat!

The renters in my rental home complained of the dryer needing 2 cycles to dry their clothes. I called out Arizona Air Duct to clean the vent. Well, $75 later the issue is not fixed. I had another company come out. They pulled out a section of the vent to show me- there's maybe half the piping still coated in lint. (I wish i could post pictures here...)

They refused to refund my money, so I'll be filing a small claims suit. AVOID these scammers. I'm not sure what 'work' they even did!

I don’t enjoy having to write bad reviews about small businesses, especially since these are the types of businesses that traditionally provide outstanding customer service. However I feel compelled to share my horror story about this company.



The long and short of it is the Smedstat’s quoted a price that they wouldn’t live up to, wouldn’t take any responsibility for, and outright just became rude and vulgar when the work was done and we had to have the discussion around the quoted price. The scene at the end of their service was completely uncalled for and the result was a call to the Scottsdale police department because the owner of company repeatedly ignored my commands to exit my apartment, yelling in my face and using nasty language and broke my front door in the process. Now I can understand wanting to stick up for yourself and your service, however as a consumer I should also be allowed to ask questions and stick up for myself if I feel that I’m getting cheated. I’m just let down by how quickly they were to become unprofessional. It was no more than 2 minutes from the time that they presented the bill that both employees were standing in my doorway yelling at me to “give them the f’ing money”. All hell broke out from there.



I even called him back a day later when tempers had cooled down to try and work out a compromise. I was still met with resistance even before throwing out a number. Seems the Smedstat’s wanted ALL of their money and weren’t willing to acknowledge the property damage that had been caused (the police report would say otherwise) nor the dispute about the egregious quote. Even within that conversation the owner insisted that my wife who had handled the quote and the scheduling was a liar, I was a bad businessman, and that I should feel lucky because I was getting a deal ($600 for cleaning 12 vents is not a deal). Needless to say we went to court over the issue and the moral of the story is, nobody is a winner when it goes that far. It has been a tumultuous couple of months taking the time to deal with this when it clearly could have been avoided if this business would have handled a dispute the some courtesy and respect.



PLEASE BE CAREFULL WHEN DEALING WITH THIS COMPANY AND HOPE THAT YOU CATCH THEM ON A BETTER DAY THAN I DID.

After reading the great reviews for this company, I weeded out all of the other choices to use this vendor. I've never had this service done to any of our houses, but figured it was time since the dirt was showing around our air vents.



To make a long story short, John Smedstad quoted me a price without coming to the house to verify the # of air ducts and just said based on the square footage and knowing we had 2 condensers, I should not exceed his verbal quote. He also advised the dryer air duct would be an additional $45.00 charge on top of that. The quote sounded reasonable and his schedule was very flexible, so I booked his services.



Not only did the final price end up $100.00 above his base verbal quote, the final price didn't even include the dryer air duct cleaning!!! In addition to that, we just wanted him out of our house because of the following treatment we received:



After having John and his co-worker (son??) start services, we noticed he was drilling the vent covers back on too tight causing them to bend out of shape. When approached on the issue to lower the torque settings on his drill, he started yelling at us in our own house!!



Before getting to a point to kick them out of our house, he did apologize, BUT the damage and our faith in him being a trustworthy vendor had flown out the door.



I would have preferred to give this vendor a "zero" star rating, but unfortunately, it required at least a one star rating to post a review.



I would really think twice or THRICE before bringing this vendor into your household.

I've used them a couple of times and have never been disappointed. Other companies may SEEM cheaper...but BEWARE of hidden costs. Arizona Air Duct: the price they quote is the price it is. I appreciate their honesty and thoroughness. I've used them both to clean my duct work and to clean my dryer vent. I would highly recommend them.

I got bids from Coit for over $400 ( and that was with a 40% off discount) and another company for $299. I called on a Monday and got a bid over the phone for $230 and they were out on the next Thursday. Everything was done above expectation and the price was exactly what was quoted.

My husband, who wasn't a complete believer in duct cleaning is sold!

I would refer this company over and over again!

I CALLED JOHN SMEDSTAD AND GOT A QUOTE OVER THE PHONE. SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT OVER THE PHONE AND THEY CAME OUT ON THE APPOINTED DAY AND THEY WERE 15 MINUTES EARLY. HE AND HIS SON CAME IN AND INSPECTED THE DUCTS AND SET UP FOR WORK. THEY WERE THOROUGH AND VERY PLEASANT TO WORK WITH. THEY TOLD ME IT WOULD TAKE ABOUT 2 HRS AND THEY WERE DONE ON TIME. WE ALSO HAD THEM DO OUR DRYER VENT AND BOY THEY REALLY CLEANED A BUNCH OF WET LINT OUT OF OUR DUCT. MY DRYER NOW DOES IT'S JOB IN HALF THE TIME IT DID BEFORE. THIS WAS THE BEST MONEY WE EVER SPENT ON THE HOUSE. GREAT JOB JOHN AND SON. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.
