        Sadly, Dr. Shaban was a wonder...

        Sadly, Dr. Shaban was a wonderful doctor but I will not be going back because of his staff. You are on hold for 45 minutes every time you call, and when you do finally get someone, you get out maybe 2 words until they transfer you to the nurse voicemail. Then you have to wait 1-2 days to get a returned call. The front office, when arriving for an appointment, were rude and discourteous. Also they were talking and joking so loud, first I can understand why it takes so long for someone to pick up the phone (I didn't see but one pick up the phone the whole 1 1/2 hour wait I had to be called back) and second we could hear their entire inappropriate conversation even with the windows shut. I love Dr. Shaban as a doctor, but can no longer tolerate such a horrible staff. DO NOT GO THERE IF YOU WANT GOOD CARE!!

        The first cut is the deepest...

        okay, so seriously...Dr. Benevides did my vascetomy back in 2008. and (i swear i'm not making this up) the first song on the Muzak to play, was Rod Stewart's "The First Cut is the Deepest" i laughed (hey! i was on a valium) and asked if it was a special vascetomy soundtrack...the Dr and the nurse both laughed and said no...it gets better, the next song was a Luther Vandross song about love....by this time we're all giggling and i'm praying Benevides doesn't 'slip' if you know what i mean...



        either way. he did a great job, successfully prepped me for recovery (i sat on the couch for three days) and haven't had any problems at all. he is funny, thorough, professional and great...
