Founded in 1972, the Carrollton Fire Department offers emergency medical information and preparedness services. The department is governed by the city of Carrolton in Texas. It provides cardiopulmonary resuscitation courses and first-aid training programs for individuals, groups and businesses. The Carrollton Fire Department also conducts fire prevention inspections and investigations. In addition, the department responds to smoke and fire alarms. It organizes station tours for children and adults. The Carrollton Fire Department s Community Emergency Response Team is a program that offers training in damage assessment, disaster simulation, and fire suppression and extinguishing skills. The department provides fire prevention safety tips.
