Caldo Pomodoro

I had a good time at thecaldo me and mom to we had the big meatballs and pasta very good just like NYNY city I will go back for dinner a o okay I my book just like back east food form siracusa Sicily.

we went to this restaurant on christmas night for a nice family meal. we didn't make a reservation, but it was also only 4pm; only one other dining customer inside.



First-we ordered some eggplant appetizer that sounded good. the eggplant had lots of delicious (garlic) flavor. it was very thin so they didn't have to cook long, however, it was brought tepid, not hot.



Second, my husband ordered the lasagna (waiter said it was a house specialty). it came out piping hot in the middle, yet cold on the outer sides. it felt like it had not been "heated" thoroughly; perhaps they "hurried" the reheating and didn't quite heat evenly (remember, there was only one other sitting customer).



Third - we ordered my daughter her own "children's pizza." it was at best, mediocre pizza. and the crust was all burnt on the bottom, which made the crust very very hard.



Fourth-we ordered the lava cake. when it came out sooooo soon after we ordered it, i was really surprised it would be done so quickly ('cause lava cake/chocolate soufflees usually take good 20 minutes to do). after i cut and ate the first piece, i understood why; they obviously had heated it in the microwave; the outer chocolate cake was very doughy, while the inside chocolate was so melted, that it was really runny, when it should be "slowly oozing out!" not to mention the melted chocolate almost burned my tongue!



if you want good Italian food, do not go here and waste your money!
