Dr. Gary Olson, M.D., F.A.A.P. graduated from the University of Wisconsin Medical School and received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin. He completed his pediatric training at several hospitals in Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Olson is Board Certified in Pediatrics and has been in pediatric practice since 1980 at locations in Farmington, Missouri; Galesburg, Illinois; and since 1993 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Olson Pediatrics was formed in 2003 with Sarah Ross, A.P.R.N., B.C. Since then, Michelle Garnett, A.P.R.N., C.P.N.P. joined our staff in 2008. Dr. Olson has privileges at both Southeast Health and St. Francis Medical Center and is Chairman of Pediatrics at St. Francis Medical Center. Sarah Ross, A.P.R.N., B.C. graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in 2000 with a Master of Science degree in Nursing. Sarah has 15 years of experience at Southeast Health on Pediatrics and Pediatric Special Care and is also certified in Advanced Life Support, Pediatric Advance Life Support, and is a CPR instructor. She completed the Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) in 2012. Sarah has been certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner since May of 2000 and has been employed with Olson Pediatrics since January 2003. Michelle Garnett, A.P.R.N., C.P.N.P. joined Olson Pediatrics in June 2008. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing at Southeast Missouri State University in 2004 and worked as a NICU nurse until 2006. Michelle graduated from Vanderbilt University in 2007 with a Master of Science degree in Nursing and is a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner through the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board.
