Towncare Dental

Extremely unethical practice. My regular dentist wrote a referral to see if endodontics (root canal) was needed at all. It was not evident on Xray if the tooth was cracked below the gum. I contacted the office to see if they took my excellent dental insurance which pays 50%, and they said they did. When I got there, they did not even consider my Cigna insurance and told me that before they would evaluate my case, SIGHT UNSEEN, (before being brought back, OR before speaking with my dentist, OR before looking at Xrays) I had to pay $865.00 for a root canal before they would even see me to see if I needed it. They (Babs) refused to even identify the practice manager when asked. Pay for a procedure that I may not need before the exam is done? THAT is UNETHICAL!

THE STAFF IS VERY POLITE...BUT THE PLACE IS ALWAYS PACKED SOLID AND WE ARE ALWAYS WAITING AT LEAST AN HOUR TO BE SEEN WITH AN APPOINTMENT. WHEN I CALL TO TALK TO A REP, PHONE IS ALWAYS BUSY OR GOES RIGHT TO VOICEMAIL....ANNOYING!
